Volunteer Abroad India - Lend your helping hands

Thank you for selecting iSPiiCE (Integrated Social Programs In Indian Child Education) and making the first move towards lending your hand and heart to improving the lives of rural Indian communities, by volunteering in India.

As an iSPiiCE volunteer in India you have the opportunity to help children, women and entire communities, facilitating education and development needs. Volunteers work at a grass roots level and make a genuine difference through volunteer work as an educator, care giver or health care worker.

Volunteers are welcomed to the iSPiiCE volunteer team to contribute to iSPiiCE social initiatives, which support social and cultural exchange and the sharing of skills and knowledge to others. Anyone with a desire to help can become part of iSPiiCE unique volunteer work programs in India.

iSPiiCE combine volunteer programs in India with travel on three weekend excursions to the Taj Mahal, the Golden Temple and trekking in the  Himalayan Mountains.

Volunteer Activities

The activities done by volunteers in our programs primarily relate to education, social work, care and empowerment, carried out in a number of partner institutions. We constantly seek expansion of our programs by developing new initiatives and volunteer activities which meet the needs of the local population. While the requirements of each community group differ there are some common activities that we offer in the areas of education, childcare, women's empowerment and health care.  

Trips Included

Three weekend excursions are included in your iSPiiCE Volunteer India Program offering the chance to combine volunteer activities with adventure travel in India.

iSPiiCE excursions have been carefully selected giving the opportunity for true discovery of India's rich heritage.

Travel with iSPiiCE to Agra and visit the magnificent Taj Mahal; to Amritsar and enjoy the tranquillity of the Golden Temple and to witness the Wagha border ceremony, and enjoy a trek in the awsome Himalayan mountain range all included in the program fee.

In my six weeks in Dharamsala I was able to interact and learn from the community in ways I hadn't ever expected. The decision was made to go to India and the next step was to find a program. All I can say is that someone up above was looking down on me when I came across iSPiiCE. From the moment I sent the first email to the last final hug and tear shared leaving the camp I was enthralled. I cant describe the beauty of the place and the people. It had touched me from the very beginning. And as for the iSPiiCE team .. all I can say is that I now know what living a life of a king or queen must feel like. They are people with the largest hearts in the world. I am in awe of their work and their commitment. And finally to all those who like me are on the other side of 30 and feel a little worried about spending time with younger volunteers let me put your mind to rest.
