Anyone can become a part of our unique volunteer work programs in India and we welcome all with the desire to help. Becoming an iSPiiCE volunteer in India gives you the opportunity to help children, women and entire communities, facilitating their education and development needs.

iSPiiCE volunteer abroad programs in India give you the opportunity to help make a genuine difference through your volunteer work as an educator, care giver or health care worker.

India is an excellent choice for volunteer work abroad. A nation of rich culture and complex traditions and so much to discover, a calendar bursting with brightly coloured festivals and not to mention its many spectacular archaeological and structural feats.

Volunteer Activities

The activities done by volunteers in our programs primarily relate to education, social work, care and empowerment, carried out in a number of partner institutions. We constantly seek expansion of our programs by developing new initiatives and volunteer activities which meet the needs of the local population. While the requirements of each community group differ there are some common activities that we offer in the areas of education, childcare, women's empowerment and health care.  

Trips Included

Three weekend excursions are included in your iSPiiCE Volunteer India Program offering the chance to combine volunteer activities with adventure travel in India.

iSPiiCE excursions have been carefully selected giving the opportunity for true discovery of India's rich heritage.

Travel with iSPiiCE to Agra and visit the magnificent Taj Mahal; to Amritsar and enjoy the tranquillity of the Golden Temple and to witness the Wagha border ceremony, and enjoy a trek in the awsome Himalayan mountain range all included in the program fee.

I would highly recommend iSPiiCE's program to anyone interested in truly understanding and connecting to social issues and cultural values within India. In my six weeks in Dharamsala I was able to interact and learn from the community in ways I hadn't ever expected. Everyone was so open to sharing and learning with the volunteers that I never felt alienated or overwhelmed by the multitude of cultural differences I encountered. The staff at iSPiiCE were magnificent; always so helpful, friendly, and generous. Their attentiveness and insights were invaluable, especially on the weekend ventures. What made this program so unique for me, was my ability to really connect with the community and push my knowledge boundaries, while still feeling safe and comfortable. Anyone with an open heart and mind will love it!

The decision was made to go to India and the next step was to find a program. All I can say is that someone up above was looking down on me when I came across iSPiiCE. From the moment I sent the first email to the last final hug and tear shared leaving the camp I was enthralled.
I cant describe the beauty of the place and the people. It had touched me from the very beginning. And as for the iSPiiCE team .. all I can say is that I now know what living a life of a king or queen must feel like. They are people with the largest hearts in the world. I am in awe of their work and their commitment. And finally to all those who like me are on the other side of 30 and feel a little worried about spending time with younger volunteers let me put your mind to rest. Those who choose iSPiiCE are special people where age has no significance and the real person inside you comes out.
