Purchasing Flights to India:

Cheapflights.com is a travel search engine where you can search for airline tickets sorted by price, date, or airline.

FareCompare, www.farecompare.com, is another airfare search engine with comprehensive search capabilities for budget air fares.

Train Travel Within India:

If you plan on travelling around India before or after your iSPiiCE program then you will probably find train travel the most convienent and cost effective way of getting around the country.

You must reserve train seats in advance when travelling on long distance trains around India and it's not possible to just turn up and hop on. Train travel is a very popular way to get around the country and seats tend to fill up rather quickly. It is possible to purchase tickets from outside India or from within India using www.cleartrip.com

Purchasing Travel Insurance:

You need to purchase travel insurance for your volunteer trip with iSPiiCE and submit details at least ten days prior to your start date.

Not every policy will cover for every eventuality so it is important that you choose a policy tailored to your needs ensuring for the iSPiiCE program that you are covered for outdoor trekking. Be sure to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or medical cover may be found to be invalid and familiarize yourself with the details of your insurance cover and the claims procedure.

Insurance companies often tailor to specific groups such as student travellers; back packers or older travellers.  Below are a selection of travel insurance company websites and travel insurance comparison sites that you may wish to try. Please be aware that these are a small sample of the many insurance providers available on line, we advise you shop around and find a provider that is most suitable to your requirements.
